Three months from the start of a military coup in Myanmar, the situation continues to worsen for the Burmese people with ongoing military violence and media blackouts.

The impact of this is more widespread than just Myanmar with 3,300 Myanmar nationals currently living in Australia who are unable to return home and live in constant fear for their families back home.

The Australian government announced yesterday that Myanmar nationals with temporary visas are now able to extend them until it is safe for them to return home.
