Adani is a massive international conglomerate with a market capitalisation of 30 billion US dollars.
In Australia the company is best known as the owner of the highly contested Carmichael coal mine in Queensland.
However, according to ranking renewable energy consultancy, Mercom Capital Group, the Indian subsidiary company Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) is currently the top global solar developer.
Adani is publicly committed to a clean energy future but research by campaign group Market Forces
suggests that Adani is expanding it’s portfolio of fossil fuel projects.
