Image:Christians weren’t necessarily the worst villains in the Spanish Inquisition

Christianity has been responsible for much violence and bloodshed through history, and more recently child abuse scandals have thoroughly tarnished its reputation. Academic historian John Dickson agrees the Church has done much evil through the years,  but his research corrects the record on some of  the darker moments in the Church’s history.  His book Bullies and Saints takes an honest look at the Church’s role in  the Spanish Inquisition and the Dark Ages, and finds it wasn’t always as villainous as it is remembered.
