French President Emmanuel Macron has secured his second term in office after defeating far-right presidential hopeful Marine Le-Pen, marking the first time in 20-years an incumbent French President has won a second-term in office.

But experts have highlighted the ascendancy of Le Pen and other minor political parties during the Presidential race as evidence the concerns of everyday people in France are being ignored and that it could signal collapse of the traditional French political system.
