Previously, The Wire spoke to disability public advocates about what the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability has heard in relation to keeping people safe and where things are going wrong.

Community Visitor Schemes were identified as one of those “extra set of eyes” that are critical to the safety of people with disability but there has been complications since the implementation of the NDIS.

Karen Rogers has been a community visitor in South Australia and also recently testified at the Royal Commission.  We talked to her about her experiences what she thinks of the current situation.
