New South Wales Planning Minister Rob Stokes says that 95% of Koala habitat will be protected under the agreement bill with Nationals Leader John Barillaro. NSW Farmers are pleased to have some relief from the bill that risked covering them in red tape but are unsure what the finer details of the bill are. Independent MP Justin Field is concerned that under the new bill rural koalas populations might not be protected against logging or land clearing.
