NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet said today that the Government would go ahead with raising the Warragamba Dam wall with or without the support of the Federal Government.  This project has an estimate of $1.6 billion, and the ALP Opposition say this needs Federal Government financial support if it were to proceed and they are not convinced it is necessary.

The twin problems of flooding and water security could be ameliorated with the raising of the wall however, and any more dithering without a real solution could prove very costly.
