The newly installed Labor government is cautioning the wait for the much-anticipated new energy source will be longer as the snowy hydro project 2.0 faces significant delays.

It comes after state and federal energy ministers met to draft a series of reforms that aim to secure energy supply and diminish prices as the east coast experiences a deepening energy crisis. The coalition has flagged nuclear energy as a potential solution to the energy shortage.
