The Federal Budget’s investment to hardening detention and cuts to support will hit Australia’s migrant and refugee populations hard, with ripple effects felt throughout social services and charitable organisations.

And while funds for trauma and torture mental health support have been identifed, there’s a need to take a hard look at the systemic levers that contribute.
