Trauma informed approach to Indigenous Healing

The Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education is to introduce a new MA program in Indigenous  Therapies and Healing Practices.

The course draws on the work of Emeritus Professor Judy Atkinson, the author of Trauma Trails, Recreating Songlines: The Transgenerational effects of Trauma in Indigenous Australia

The We Al-Li program utilizes the concept of Dadirri, an Aboriginal contemplative way of deep listening to support the processes of sharing stories, trauma recovery and learning.
