A major advertising campaign launched today aims to change the way war decisions are made by Australia. Currently troops can be sent to conflict by the Prime Minister or a small group of senior ministers. Be Sure On War is a reminder to politicians that according to a survey done last year 83% of Australians would prefer that any war decisions are debated by Parliament. The campaign includes a website where people can contact local MPs or sign a petition.
