As ANZAC Day is around the corner, the stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander soldiers remains largely untold, even though they have served Australia since World War I. They have faced different challenges such as discrimination.

The story of Michael Flick from Collarenabri, NSW, is like no other. Still in his mid teens, he saw action on the Western Front after arriving there in 1917.

As soon as COVID allows, Joe Flick will be returning overseas to continue his project photographing the war graves of Aboriginal soldiers.
