With Joe Biden’s promise to have all troops withdrawn from Afghanistan by the 31st of August made this week, many are left scratching their heads over the speed and abruptness of the withdrawal.

Many experts fear the return of the insurgents serves as the perfect opportunity for domestic and international terrorism, as well as a complete power vacuum that leaves the Afghanistani government well and truly out in the open.
