A new survey from the Rail, Tram, and Bus Union in Tasmania found out 7 out of 10 drivers in the state are seriously threatening to quit because of abusive behaviour, and 98% of drivers have been verbally abused.

More than 60% of the participants also found out safety concerns and poor management from MetroTas, the company behind public transport.

Also low wages and roster managements are other reasons for drivers to find alternative jobs.
