Scammed, frustrated, and betrayed.
Youpla, previously known as the Australian Community Benefit Fund (ACBF), is a funeral insurance company marketed for and by First Nations Australians. After various investigations and a royal commission, the company was been liquidated at the start of 2022.
However, most of the grieving families have not yet been reimbursed since the company’s liquidation.
The Albanese government announced this morning that it pledges $4 million in emergency relief packages to affected individuals. And, is looking at the possibility of further support in the future.
We investigate further as to the extent of relief these grieving families will hopefully achieve.
