CCTV footage shows WA prisons are “broken”

Yesterday The Wire published an interview with Senior Court Psychologist, Andrea Bates exposing the treatment of youth at the Cairns Watch House.
Now, in Western Australia, CCTV footage was released where an officer of controversial Unit 18 at the Casuarina Prison kneed a 16-year-old boy.
The prison system across the country is broken, according to WA Greens Upper House MP Brad Pettitt.
