Over one million sport betting ads have played on free to air TV over just the past 12 months and gambling reform advocates say such adverts are grooming the next generation of problem gamblers.

These are just two allegations thrown at sports betting by the Chief Advocate of Gambling Reform, Tim Costello, who says a 35 thousand signature petition to end gambling ads and multi-partisan political support, are reasons to stop such advertising.

Costello is urging the Government to look into the findings of the Murphy Report on gambling.
