A landmark report from Australia’s Human Rights Commission reflects long-standing calls for youth and child justice reform across Australia, urging federal, state and territory governments to renew their approach…

The report called ‘Help Way Earlier’ was produced by Australia’s National Commissioner Anne Hollands, and made recommendations on improving the wellbeing of vulnerable children.

It also shows children who come into contact with the justice system have unmet or complex needs, with many facing poverty, insecure housing, family violence, and more.
