New genetic testing has been developed at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute to find those more at risk of suffering from cardiac arrest.

The genetic testing is designed to identify commonly inherited heart diseases like Long QT syndrome, a condition causing sudden cardiac death in those otherwise fit and healthy. This condition impacts around one in 2000 Australians.
