Rising hope for a female American president has been defeated with Donald Trump’s second presidential victory clearing the 270 electoral-threshold.
Mr Trump defeated Democratic Vice-President Kamala Harris, in both the Electoral College and the popular vote.
While the election witnessed a rise in voters from broader demographics, Trump’s win has sparked some concern – with questions arising around women’s reproductive rights, immigration, and the global economic impact.
