The latest Australian Unity Wellbeing Index survey has revealed that satisfaction with life in Australia has hit a record low, with younger Australian adults feeling the brunt of financial challenges amid cost-of-living crisis.

Adults aged 18-34 are experiencing the highest levels of mental distress and loneliness, with one in two adults aged under 55 years old going without essential items because of money struggles and feel they are financially worse off than their parents were at their age.
