First Nations rights are human rights: advocate

Human rights in Australia are unfair for First Nations people in Australia’s prison system, according to an Indigenous rights advocate.

Indigenous Australians are incarcerated at disproportionate rates compared with non-Indigenous Australians.

…And Noongar woman from Western Australia, Marianne Headland Mackay, says the way First Nations people are treated is inhumane and the government needs to implement holistic approaches to tackle youth crime.
