There are concerns that Australia’s media reach may be curtailed with the Indo-Pacific Broadcasting Strategy yet to be renewed by the federal government.

The IPBC is a program that funds media programs about Australia’s immediate neighbours, and has provided the Australian public broadcaster with funding for programs focused on South-East Asia, South Asia and the Pacific.

Stephen Hill explores the importance of having Australian media content projected abroad in an environment where disinformation and the attention economy is leading to a more fragile media environment.
