Yesterday, the New South Wales court declared as ‘invalid’ the exclusion zone imposed in Newcastle for the Rising Tide protests, which will go ahead this weekend.
The Minns government put this exclusion zone in place for protesters and beachgoers, raising concerns about freedom of speech and movement.
Protesters applauded the Court’s decision of invalidating the exclusion zone.
