Electricity Market regulator AEMO has responded to a rolling crisis of electricity supply by suspending Spot Market trading. The suspension comes after a series of coal power stations had to be taken offline.
Despite AEMO’s takeover, the government has advised those on the East Coast to turn off unnecessary devices tonight to conserve power and keep the system stable.
