Aged Care Still Vulnerable to COVID

In the past year, Aged Care Providers have received extra funds from the Government to increase the quality of care and to put in safeguards against COVID.

However, with all the money injected into the sector, nothing has changed. An extremely low amount of Aged Care Workers are still not vaccinated. And the sector is still understaffed.

Both residents and workers are still vulnerable to COVID, and the new federal budget, nor the recommendations taken on by the government by the Royal Commission will fix these issues adequately.
