A new report is showing Australia is closing the gap on eye care between First Nations people and non-Indigenous Australians.
The report shows cataract services and eye check on Aboriginal people with diabetes have dramatically improved, and while this is positive news, there are some challenges that need to be addressed, like cataract surgery waiting lists.
The Federal and State governments have contributed to close the gap on First Nations eye care, and the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations have been critical in closing the gap too.
