Australia’s press freedom has hit an all time low, after it was revealed by the Reporters Sans Frontiers’ World Press Freedom Index that the country had fallen 20 places down to 39th on index.

The recent drop has been largely caused by the 2019 AFP raids on News Corp journalist Annika Smethurst.
