On Monday, The Leukaemia Foundation revealed that blood cancer is one of the most critical yet under-recognised women’s health issues in Australia, despite it being the second most common cancer diagnosed among Australian women.
“We are currently facing a crisis in women’s health that most people don’t know exists,” stated Leukaemia Foundation CEO, Chris Tanti.
As September marks the start of Blood Cancer Month, coinciding with Women’s Health Week this week, The Leukaemia Foundation is urging for national attention to the devastating and increasing impact of blood cancer on Australian women.
