Campaign to ban some rodenticides from supermarkets

Last year, New South Wales and Queensland suffered from mice plague, and experts warn this year a similar issue could happen.

Birdlife Australia launched a campaign to ban anti-coagulant rodenticides to be sold from supermarkets shelves, as the ingredients from the rat poison might not only affect rodents, but wildlife and domestic animals.

According to a survey done by Birdlife Australia to vets, they are treating more animals due to poisoning, and the numbers will continue to grow.
