This week, a new campaign in Geelong was launched to raise awareness about ageism and elder abuse on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

The aim is to stop ageism and elder abuse, where 1 in 6 Australians experience these issues, and most of the time, it’s not reported because of fears.

The campaign is calling to young Australians to reconnect with elders and call when acts of ageism or abuse happen.
