Over 3000 marched from Adelaide’s Crown and Anchor to Parliament House in protest of a proposed redevelopment which could see the iconic venue become student accommodation.

Outcry erupted with calls to amend state planning laws to preserve the pub’s social and cultural value.

Since, The Upper House of State Parliament backed a Green’s motion acknowledging the history of the Crown and Anchor, but did not commit to reforming SA’s heritage laws.
