The COP30 climate conference held in Brazil has come to an end, prompting many questions around future climate action and Australia’s role in the next COP summit with Adelaide’s hosting opportunity now off the table.
Professor Matthew Harrison, Climate Resilience Leader at the University of Tasmania, has also pointed to the summit’s focus on funding adaptability, rather than targeting mitigation efforts around fossil fuels.
