COVID-19 is once again spreading through the aged care system, after the Australian Government’s Department of Health revealed that there is now over 900 outbreaks across the country.

The recent cases come after a surge in community transmission of the omicron variants BA.5 and BA.4.

It is even being reported that army nurses are being rolled out to aged care homes to assist with staffing shortages.
