The world’s oldest tropical rainforest – Daintree Rainforest in Queensland – had its formal ownership returned to its Traditional Owners on Wednesday this week.
The agreement with the Queensland Government notably included provisions for increased involvement of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji people in the management of the area.
