Image:Talking about a loved one’s wishes around death could keep them at home
Seventy per cent of people want to die at home but only 10 per cent of people aged over 70 get to do that. Australians are far more likely to die in the clinical and impersonal surrounds of a hospital. Ageing accommodation provider ECH is running a campaign to encourage families to talk openly about death so that when the time comes they are prepared with in- home care to make sure their elderly relative’s wishes are fulfilled.
