Why don’t many people know about General William Bridges? He served in the Boer War, represented us as a new nation in London, set up the Royal Military College in Duntroon and organised the national Australian Army (AIF) in time for the first World War.
He achieved many firsts, and one was that his body was repatriated back to Australia after being killed at Gallipoli.
