Commencing in early 2022, a culturally appropriate village for Kaurna Elders will start being built.
Currently, Kaurna Elders only have the option of living in government housing or aged care homes. There is very little choice in the area they can live in, and none that are culturally significant for that matter. This project aims to change these problems.
Being located in an area that has significant historically importance for the Kaurna people. As well as, smaller one bedroom units, will allow the Elders to retire to a much more enjoyable life than currently being offered.
