Experts challenge the NSW Government’s feral horse draft plan

Environment experts are concerned with the New South Wales Government’s approach to reducing the feral horse population in Kosciuszko National Park.

The plan aims to reduce the feral horse population to 3000 horses by 2027.

Experts about the topic say the NSW government have ignored the RSPCA’s suggestion for using the more humane aerial shooting method.

Feral horses cause immense damage through grazing and trampling which destroys the vegetation and dirties the waterways.
