This week, the social media platform Facebook announced they will shut down its facial recognition system because of privacy breaches and concerns of the technology, and it will delete the information of 1 billion users from the site.
But with the earlier announcement of Facebook’s company Meta, experts believe it is just a public relations strategy to bring people’s trust on them.
