Australia currently faces numerous economic challenges. The Reserve Bank is pushing for a higher rate of unemployment, the cutting of wages and higher interest rates in order to curb inflation.
The housing market continues to be out of reach for many and inequality is rising. The government also faces a deficit which will soon be exasperated by the addition of the Stage 3 tax cuts which disproportionately benefit the wealthy.
