The Uluru Statement from the Heart this week was awarded the Sydney Peace Prize, in acknowledgement of it being a “powerful and historic offering of peace” essential to “healing within our nation”. Yet, four years after it was presented to parliament, the statement has not been acted upon.
On Reconciliation Week, the Federal Opposition are calling on the government to revisit the call for Voice, Treaty and Truth.
