This week is Refugee Week, and Settlement Services International, along with Access Community Services and BEMAC organised Homelands, an event hosted throughout Queensland and New South Wales showcasing short films about the refugee experiences.
This year, Refugee Week’s topic is Unity, and the organisers and filmmakers expect to raise awareness about the experiences of refugees, asylum seekers, and new migrants in Australia, and acknowledge their contribution into our community.
The event will finish on the 26 June.
