The 2024 Paris Olympics are coming to an end in just a few days.

Australia remains in third position and the media coverage of each gold, silver and bronze medal has been near constant.

However, for many countries across the world, comprehensive coverage of the Olympics isn’t guaranteed.

In an effort to address these gaps, a French government program has brought over fifty journalists from across the African continent to cover the games and the athletes from their home countries.

Frank Simon one of the co-ordinators of the program says it has been a program months in the making.
