Hobart is Australia’s only capital city with more vegetation in 2020 than in 2013, but the importance of greener cities is higher than ever.

A phenomenon known as the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect means that our cities are experiencing hotter temperatures, but a new report from Monash University and Australian Conservation Foundation shows increased vegetation could offset the effects of climate change.
