One of the biggest concerns for small businesses in almost every industry is finding the right people with the right skills, to get the job done.
A tight labour market makes it challenging for small businesses to train and retain skilled staff. In some cases, owners would rather pay themselves a lesser wage, than lose staff with the right skills.
Despite warnings from advocates, many industries have experienced years of underinvestment in skills and training.
