Melbourne Airport has agreed to the Victorian government’s plan for an above-ground railway station, line, hoping to expedite the long-delayed project.

Despite offering this compromise, Victorian Premier, Jacinta Allan indicated that the project, initially targeted for implantation by 2030, will still be delayed by three years to 2033, due to previous disagreements.

The airport’s decision aims to move forward with construction, Melbourne airport emphasising the urgent need for the rail link to accommodate growing passenger numbers.
