The trend towards adopting a four-day work week has recently been on the rise, as the pandemic has led to many workers reconsidering their work-life balance. Today, more than a quarter of all Australian organisations offer this option to employees.
Although many workers may favour this option for more free time, there may be numerous practical challenges if Australia implements a four-day work week.
Apart from it affecting productivity levels, it may prove difficult to adjust to sudden changes, as a traditional nine to five has become the norm for most workers.
