Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders have been let down in the juvenile justice system as data shows 45 per cent of youth offenders where Indigenous in 2018-19.

The Federal Government is failing to meet Closing The Gap targets as high rates of Indigenous youth and adults incarcerated and Indigenous suicide have exacerbated.
