Lunar New Year celebrations in Bendigo praised by community

Four thousand years of tradition will come alive in cities and towns across Australia tomorrow with the start of celebrations for the Lunar New Year.

The Bendigo Chinese Association have marked the Lunar New Year since the EIGHTEEN hundreds, when Chinese men walked over 4 million miles through hazardous terrain from South Australia to reach the Victorian gold fields.
